Initially, I avoided such plastic devices because I needed the strength of a more expensive metal device. Being beyond disappointed with this device I bought one of the TACKFORM devices and it was fantastic. Once installed, you don't have to worry about it coming off or holding your phone securely. I've been enjoying my first for over a year so came back with the same brand when it came time to buy another for a different car.

Have purchased this product in the past and have loved it. I've only had it in one car and after about a year the plastic stem broke in half. Nothing happened as far as I know, but I can't say for sure. I buy these three packs for my three cars and they work great again. Okay, I used all possible fasteners. vent mounts. Cup holder mounts. dashboard mounts. They all suck for one reason or another. If you've used them, you'll know why. If you have any flat touches (I put faux wood over the carbon fiber look panels on mine) they stick like any command tape.
