The StonyLab Quantitative Cellulose Retention Filtration lab filters are a game changer in the world of filtration. As my tests showed, this system provides exceptional results and is perfect for industrial and scientific use. It's easy to use and the filtration process is quick and hassle-free. The system comes with a clear set of instructions making it easy to understand even for first-time users. The only downside is that the filters can be a bit pricey, but the quality of the results more…

Filters good but in poor condition

As far as the filtering capabilities are concerned they work well. The problem with my item was that it was packaged in a sealed plastic bag but eventually got wet. They were dry, but about half of the filters were warped and not flat, which meant I had to wet them, place them between something very flat, and let them dry completely to flatten them out again. I needed them so didn't have time to send them back for a replacement. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem.

Pros
  • Compatible with StonyLab 80mm Porcelain Buchner funnel
Cons
  • No performance

Absolutely perfect for the price

I don't filter anything that would require the same features/functions as say a medical counterpart but I can confirm that filters really work. I've run them individually and in pairs through a Buchner funnel with a vacuum pump (actually just a rebranded aquarium pump lol) with great success. I've had the desired results, which is the removal of small particles of Everclear. Be warned though, although StonyLab makes these filters and presumably Buchner funnels (I stamped a mm funnel just above…

Pros
  • Filter speed: 35 - 70 sec
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
