SimPure Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) membrane filter is composed of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate. the MCE membrane is biologically inert, it is one of the most widely used membranes in analytical and research applications. Gridded filters have clearly defined grid lines spaced at 3.1 mm intervals. The special ink used is non-toxic and completely free from bacterail growth inhibitors. The gridded Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) membrane are ideal for colony counting and sterility testing. The gridlines on the membrane's surface eliminate eye fatigue during colony-counting without affecting the growth of colonies. And allows color reactions to be easily observed. Sterile gridded MCE membranes are unsupported, naturally hydrophilic membranes.

Excellent value for money, as expected.

We bought these to test thermotolerant fecal membrane filtration. They are comparable to those we have previously used from Fisher Scientific which were twice the price. That's great value for money!

Excellent quality and price

This is a great product that still performs like the leading brands membranes. Keep in mind that this is inexpensive membrane filtration, which means most of the protective materials that other brands have are missing here. You have to be more careful with handling and storage, but the price difference is worth the effort.
