This is a nice product but they decided to add laser engraving to the product and now it looks ugly. In other reviews and in the photo of the product this is not visible.

Use this for my barn doors so not a typical setup. Instead of manually holding the door open with a hook and eye, this is done automatically and hands-free. Let's see how she behaves after the first winter. I'll probably smack it with some light oil to help. I did not use the screws that came with it. They didn't seem long enough.

This is a heavy door, but you can open the door very easily. This comes in a set of 2 so I used one for my laundry room door that would not stay open. It doesn't mount on the baseboard as usual because I want the door to open further into a closet with a shorter wall. Very versatile to install because the magnet is so good. Buy this - great price - problem solved!

To be honest the design looks good enough for my use but the magnets are so strong that I'm afraid they will bend the door if they try to open them. The instructions are really confusing. There is some sort of central rod/bolt/anchor that had no apparent purpose or instructions on how to use it. Also, the drywall anchors that come with it are not real anchors. I have no idea how they can be considered anchors. I could still use the doorstop by installing it with my own anchors and drywall screws, but I think a different model or brand would probably be easier and less frustrating. First -- DO NOT use the trash anchors they give you. They don't stick well at all, and if you glue the magnets together they pop right out of the wall. -1 star The stops themselves are very good.
