No tinsel from kindergarten days! These are beautiful and very delicate golden threads. When there is a breeze in the house, the shimmering effect is amazing! I had so much fun decorating with these icicles. You can just pull out a few pieces and "scatter" them on the branches of a tree. Definitely a lot of shine for the dollar!

Well I wanted to get them because I've been looking for them forever. or hard, like icicles in the past. A little disappointed or should I say very disappointed. My family carefully placed a few strands on each branch to achieve the desired effect. These new ones are so good you'll get tired and throw a whole box up your tree. I wouldn't order them again unless they say new and improved.

I have seen other reviews complaining about the amount of tinsel in a box. Yes, it doesn't seem like much. However, it more than adequately covered our 5-6 foot Christmas tree. I actually have a fair amount left over. They're thin, yes, but they're such a tinsel. The difference between this brand and another brand on sale (Bright Star?) is that the other comes crumpled out of the box and looks awful. If you know how to decorate and care for Christmas trees in Northern Europe, this thin tinsel is what you need. The reviewers complaining about this are clearly not looking for it. The tinsel sold in most stores is too thick and doesn't look as delicate. They don't decorate strand by strand, instead using small tufts to drape branches.
