I have seen other reviews complaining about the amount of tinsel in a box. Yes, it doesn't seem like much. However, it more than adequately covered our 5-6 foot Christmas tree. I actually have a fair amount left over. They're thin, yes, but they're such a tinsel. The difference between this brand and another brand on sale (Bright Star?) is that the other comes crumpled out of the box and looks awful. This brand of tinsel was nice and smooth and hung very well on the tree. It's quite expensive (just a few years ago tinsel was 99 cents a box at the hardware store), but that's because almost nobody makes it. Hence the premium price. I'll definitely be buying it again next year if they're still making it!
