This is a very soft turtleneck sweater. My son is 9 years old and wears a 10/12, I ordered XL for him and he was big enough. I could cut He wore it with his ski suits and it kept him warm.

My son loves the comfort! He ended up wearing it instead of a base layer for his Halloween costume! Definitely gotta buy another one or two!

The shirt is thin. Almost transparent, but that might be ok. But definitely one size smaller. For my 15 year old it is very big. I had to buy a small one.

Most of the colors in this collection are smooth, soft and stretchy. I have many colors of this item. Unfortunately, lavender, pink and turquoise are made of a different material. Much less elastic, soft or smooth. I sent them back and appreciate the return policy.

My son really liked this turtleneck sweater. I can tell because he usually only wears short-sleeved gym clothes, but he was willing to wear them to camp in the mountains, even though his mother didn't tell him to wear long sleeves. He also willingly wears it to baseball practice when it's cold. He is about a size 12 with a long body and the large size is good at being an inch tall or maybe more.
