Only 67% less cotton than 90% according to the product description. The only reason I've been buying these socks for over 10 years is the high cotton content. Now they are just as terrible as any other pair of socks on the market. Current materials are 67% cotton, 16% nylon, 11% polyester, 4% rubber and 2% spandex. Stride Rite, you just lost an old client. Revain, update ad!

POOR quality

I have been buying these socks for many years for their quality and durability. The last purchase was of shockingly poor quality. After washing, socks are significantly thinner, smaller, less elastic and extremely dense. My skinny kids' feet barely fit in, although I ordered the correct size based on shoe size. These Stride-Rite socks are disappointing in terms of quality and no better than cheap supermarket socks. Don't waste money. Look for another brand.

Pros
  • Machine wash cold. Lay flat or tumble dry low.
Cons

They were amazing before we washed them on the warm cycle and dried them on average. I will not hang dry socks! But we hang dry sweatshirts and similar garments so they don't shrink. Unfortunately I wouldn't buy them again and return to our sock hunt. I should mention that after 3 months there is also a hole in the thumb. My son is 7 years old and…
