The picture looked like cheap plastic to me. This grass stripper is made from very durable metal, making it easy to use without being overly heavy. We love it. If you like fresh herbs, this might be for you!

Trying to peel parsley leaves; he took them off with the stems still attached; the same with oregano; Those are the only two I've tried.

I wish I had tried before closing the return window. I bought it specifically for cilantro and in theory a good idea. However, it is not effective. For the time it takes to remove 2-3 stems at a time I would use 1/2 bushel, old school.

Very easy to use and great design. It's now easy to add fresh herbs to any meal because not only does this remove leaves without the mess or fuss, but the straight end of the blade is super sharp and slices through sticks and leaves with ease. The different sizes are ideal regardless of the type of grass, ranging from the largest to the smallest stalks.

This is the best ever! I've read about herbal strippers and seen them on TV but never realized how useful they can be. I love that the end is sharp and you can use it to chop scallions, tomatoes, olives and any other light side dishes you might have. A real grass stripper works great with many different sized holes. I've used this on parsley, cilantro, dill, and thyme so far and love all of them.
