Good inexpensive wire stripper.

Not very flashy but cheap. And it works. And I have no complaints. For small jobs like my house it will work fine. If I had to do a few hundred or a thousand casts it would probably break.

Deep Cuts: Cat 6 Cable

Cutting the outer screen, this tool cut into data cables. No matter what part of the tool I used to remove the outer shield, my data cables were severed. He returned to the small pocketknife to sever the outer shield.

You can always consult the pros

Look, if you're using Cat5/6 cables to the point where you need one, one of your co-workers might already have one. It's just a lot easier to use than the clumsy stripping tool built into most donuts and cuts better in my experience. Buy a pair (it's cheap) and always look like a pro.
