Stromberg Carlson AM 250 Lend Assist Review

This pen changed everything in the world for me. As someone with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, getting in and out of our trailer was very difficult. Doesn't matter! Don't be afraid of falling; Now I'm sure I'll take that old body there!

I needed a door knob that sticks out far so I can easily grab it without looking or stopping to put the laundry basket in and shut the door behind me on my way between the garage and house. Perfect. I didn't know it was made for campers and RV's so I was a little apprehensive but it's easy to install, strong and reliable.

Installs this on our small RV trailer after installing a single step with a double step. We are not as stable as we used to be and the trailer has helped us a lot. It's a great size for our use and I would recommend it to anyone who feels even a little unbalanced getting out of their camper. A larger model is not required. When placed correctly, this works well. It was also easy to install.

Arrived very quickly, took 5 to 6 minutes to fit, the original handle that came on our new motorhome was only a short one, used to get in, but it was also very difficult to get off short to to get a good grip. This assist grip looks good and is easy to use. Getting out of the camper just got a lot easier, I just have to reach out and the handle is at the perfect height to grab the handle section. For a "mini" pen this is a really good size and I doubt many people would need a bigger pen. I have 4 screws that fix it well in my door frame. Installation was easy. I suggest that you check for obstructions such as canopy braces, closet doors, etc. in both the open and stowed positions to keep the handle clear.
