Runs SMALL! - my new review

As a decently small female I’d imagine this sweater is sized pretty small for the average man.I bought it for a camping trip since it was ridiculously cheap & wool but after trying on both the Medium & Large I found the sleeve length to be very long but the body rather short. When I raise my arms above my head the sweater rides up in both sizes. Ended up keeping the Large for our trip since it’ll likely shrink when washed and I could roll back the sleeves. Of course you’ll want to wear a shirt…

Pros
  • Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry
Cons
  • The sweater may lose its shape after multiple wears and washes

Shrinks and no I didn't put it in the dryer

I don't understand why this sweater has so many good reviews. I bought a men's large for my teenage son. He tried it on and it fit so we washed it before wearing, in cold water on delicate and hung to dry. After it dried it shrunk considerably. It could now fit me and I wear a women's small. That's ridiculous since we followed the instructions on the tag. Such a waste of money!

Pros
  • Soft. Quality lambswool. Looks great too.
Cons
  • Creates a lot of static cling on clothing and can be uncomfortable

5 stars - Fits Perfect

I’m 6’5 295 lbs. I got the XXLT in Denim and it fits perfectly. For those who said it shrinks in the washer/dryer, it clearly states to wash cold and then reshape before drying flat (which means not in a dryer). As for fraying or something I’ve yet to wash it but being it’s an revain Basics related item I wouldn’t be surprised if it does a bit. What do you want for $35?!?! I bought this for the job site, when I have to look presentable but don’t care if it’s messed up from doing some work. I…

Great for fall when the temperature will drop

Everything is good- color, size, neck design, price. I gave 4 stars not because I find any shortcomings in the product but because it needs to be hand washed.

Pros
  • good color, fit and style.
Cons
  • This is a lot thinner than I was expecting. Looks ok but not for warmth.

Nice sweater for the price

This is a nice sweater. The fabric is a bit thinner than I would have hoped, but feels soft and looks good. Perfect weight for under a jacket etc. I think this item is a good value for the price. Happy to have found a nice WOOL sweater at an affordable price. Not sure why anyone sells cotton sweaters.

Pros
  • Goodthreads
Cons
  • The wool material can shed, leaving fibers all over furniture and clothing

Don't put this in a dryer

I bought a large tall because I anticipated a bit of shrinkage, and I now own a sweater that's about 10 inches long. If you aren't diligent about drying clothes separately, this isn't for you.

Pros
  • Don't wash and dry this!!!
Cons
  • The wool can cause itching and discomfort around the neck and wrists

Definitely recommend

Amazing quality and the fit is great. I’m 6’3” 190 lbs. it doesn’t bunch up and sits at the correct length which is tough to get in a medium since I’m on the taller side. I ordered a Medium tall. Surprisingly the sweater isn’t itchy either which was a surprise with it being a wool sweater.

Pros
  • The lambswool material is naturally water-resistant, making it a practical choice for rainy or snowy weather
Cons
  • The sweater may not be suitable for individuals who prefer a more loose-fitting clothing style

Fine Quality for my opinion

Nice fit (I'm 5'10" & 146 lbs.) in the medium size. As good as my well-made, but skimpy (and way more expensive) L.L. Bean sweaters. And surprisingly warmer than several Woolovers crew-necks, a U.K. brand. ill, for only $41. The neckline and sleeve ends are thick and especially well made. Plus plus there are raglan sleeves which I've never seen before in a wool sweater in this low price range.

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • The sweater may not be durable enough for outdoor activities or sports

Bought for functionality, love its aesthetic.

I bought this sweater because I work outside & need more wool to keep warm. It was cheap, I had points, I added it to another order kinda casually.Omg I love it! The color! Not a brilliant red, more of a beautiful dusty red, very flattering for me. It hangs well on me (I’m a fairly large woman, bought XL), arms are nice and long. Feels delicious. Soft, warm. I put it on right away and I’m wearing it still, simply over a t-shirt (wool on skin), even though it’s warm outside. I just like it!Who…

Pros
  • The lambswool material feels wonderfully soft and warm against the skin
Cons
  • The design of the sweater is too plain and unremarkable

Sweater is perfect. if you never wash it. ever.

I've purchased two of these sweaters - the first was hands-down my favorite sweater, until I washed it in cold and it shrunk 2 sizes straight out of the washer. I laid it out to try and reshape and dry it, but the sweater was unwearable (XL became a M, at best.)I watched and waited on this listing for the Denim color to come back in stock. I should have known when there was "1 left" that it was a too good to be true. But I bought a second copy (thinking I would wash this one differently - or…

Pros
  • The sweater is easy to care for and can be machine washed and dried
Cons
  • The wool material may not be suitable for individuals who are sensitive to temperature changes

very nice sweater but.

I had a hard time finding a plain, off-white, wool women's sweater so resorted to men's. according to their size guide I should need a M. ok. Oatmeal color looked close enough to off-white so I ordered it after waiting months for it to come back in stock. It's too big, more tan than off-white and has a distinctive odor to it.but it is so very soft. I kept it and it is one of my favorite sweaters. The odor is fading, the color is ok and I like the bigger, loose fit since it is so soft. I hope…

Pros
  • Very attractive sweater, but feels thin and after washing even thinner???
Cons
  • Not suitable for individuals who are vegan or do not wish to wear animal products

More Slender Fit Than Many

I bought this sweater for my husband because 1. he wears only crewneck sweaters 2. he has trouble finding wool sweaters in a crewneck and 3. he hates bulky sweaters or those with designs. Yes, he is a picky sweater wearer. He really likes this one, but he probably wouldn't if he weren't slender. He wears a large primarily because of the width of his shoulders and the length of his arms, and this sweater fits over his shirts without excess fabric. If he had a wider midsection, this sweater would

Pros
  • Pullovers
Cons
  • The sizing of the sweater may differ from other clothing brands, causing confusion

It’s my fault for not reading the washing instructions first, but I also haven’t stumbled across a sweater in this price range that is dry clean only. I got the large tall which fit great out of the package but after the first wash it barely fits over my head and is very small.

Pros
  • Warm and cozy 100% Lambswool, with a breathable, lightweight feel
Cons
  • The wool can cause static electricity and cling to other fabrics

I bought this for an XLT man, 6'4". He loves it and it looks great on him. The sleeves are good on this XLT, and the torso length hits right at the waist/belt. If he had one complaint, it's that he wishes it were a couple inches longer, but that it isn't too short. Still a good fit. I say the sweater feels great (to hug), and the red pattern on blue is classic and flatters the shoulders. 100% Lambswool = wash cold, lay flat to dry.

Pros
  • Muy buena
Cons
  • The sweater may not be warm enough for extremely cold climates

Nice wool sweater best in my review

I liked the fit, style, and color. I am normally a medium but I bought a large in case it shrinks. To me the large fit like a medium, so I recommend getting a size bigger. The wool isn't the softest but I'll live. Overall I like this sweater specially for the price. I paid about $11 with taxes.

Pros
  • This was a perfect fit for my friend and the color matched his eyes.
Cons
  • The crewneck collar can be too tight and uncomfortable for some wearers

Leading brands can't compete any longer

So, I have been a loyal purchaser of sweaters made by Eddie Bauer, Lands End and LLBean for decades, in the past 5 years these bands have started to blend polyester with wool. This is especially true for EB, and LE and it is horrible. Polyester blends pill more easily and do not last as long as 100% wool. I bought this GoodThreads sweater in Olive, size 2XL Tall, I am 6ft 4 inches and weight 265lbs, so I am a very big man, my shoulders are particularly broad it is a problem when I buy clothing…

Pros
  • The sweater is a bit itchy on the inside but it looks great
Cons
  • The wool material can attract and hold onto pet hair

Very nice sweater - my new review

This i a very nice sweater, especially for the price (Goodthreads Men's Lambswool Crewneck Sweater). I am glad it comes in crew neck, I do not like the V neck style sweaters (which were more popular years ago, almost everything came in V neck since men used to wear ties more often back then). The only ting I wished for is if this sweater came in a thicker style (even 3 or 4 times as thick would be good), I don't wear sweaters unless it is extreme cold/wet conditions outside. So with this…

Pros
  • The crewneck design looks equally great on men of all ages and body types
Cons
  • The design of the sweater can be easily replicated by cheaper clothing brands

Not too impressive good for me

This Medium is on the small side. I’d first returned a Large because it was XL or bigger. Too inconsistent quality for me.

Pros
  • Clothing
Cons
  • The sweater can be difficult to layer with other clothing items

Fits perfectly! for my opinion

This sweater fits well on a taller person that needs some length in the torso as well as the extra lengthy sleeves but is not plus sized. The green color is absolutely the same as pictured. Over all extremely happy with my purchase. It's a great gift.

Pros
  • The breathable material allows for easy ventilation, making it a great transitional piece for seasonal weather changes
Cons
  • The sweater may not be suitable for individuals with a history of wool allergies
