I had a hard time finding a plain, off-white, wool women's sweater so resorted to men's. according to their size guide I should need a M. ok. Oatmeal color looked close enough to off-white so I ordered it after waiting months for it to come back in stock. It's too big, more tan than off-white and has a distinctive odor to it.but it is so very soft. I kept it and it is one of my favorite sweaters. The odor is fading, the color is ok and I like the bigger, loose fit since it is so soft. I hope the size S comes back in stock as I would like to try one in a smaller size.
