Runs small and isn't as expected

I thought this was SO cute in the images! Big disappointment. First it was air shrink wrapped so tight I didn't even know what it was! LOL The color is not quite the same (Khaki) .it runs small (according to their size chart large should have been plenty big. NOT. The material has a weird feel to it and it was HOT! I do like the style, so I guess I'll look for it in another brand.
