Good size. I was able to fit an old footrest I already had into this case to carry and reuse. This case is so beautiful. I also use the stool all the time and so far it's holding up well. Seems well done.

So initially you will not receive a finished footrest, just an outer cover that you can add cushions or blankets of your choice to. The material isn't very soft due to the beadwork, so more of a talking point. We filled it and made it our own. This is a fairly small footstool, not your usual height, it sits under the edge of the couch.

It opens all the way down which makes it look like you can't use bean bags in bean bags, but you can if you use a cardboard box that fits in the ottoman then pour the beans through the box into an ottoman. Ottoman. A bit delicate procedure, but worth it in the end. (Make sure you have an extra drawer for leftover beans that overflow. You can add them later!👍). Short answer: This is an amazing little ottoman for the money
