Weak, cheap, junk on shocks, struts and suspension

I must have been stupid to buy them 3 TIMES now! and every time they don't raise the gate I've ended up with this company looking for an alternative post with more power. Subaru needs to redesign the tailgate system from the ground up, what a joke.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Dull gear

Looking forward to seeing how well it holds up

2016 Subaru Outback tailgate started making a clicking noise when opening. Yesterday I replaced the original racks with these, the clicks are gone. The original frames lasted about 3 years and I hope these replacement parts will last at least that long.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Why did I hesitate?

If I had known they were SO easy to fit I wouldn't have bothered with "flexible" sectional doors for so long! It took 2 people because the gate is heavy and only needed a small flat head screwdriver. Clear instructions, they work great! By the way, the dealer wanted $380. For this work.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Clarity

Easy to install on my 2015 Outback

So nice, no more banging your head on the back door. The quality is comparable to original OEM racks. I have a limited version with an automatic tailgate (it works despite the mixed posts I've found about changing jambs for this version. I highly recommend it. 10-15 minutes to install, you can watch a video on YouTube find if you are worried.

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Not bad

Brackets not included!

This does not include the brackets and you will have to cut the ball joints out of the old bearings to use them - not worth saving another $30 the dealer charges for the ones that include the brackets ! And when you unscrew the housings to replace the ball and bracket with new ones, the threads do not match. You shouldn't advertise them as Outback 2015 compatible without saying you have to cut open the case to use them. And this metal, by the way, is really strong and thick.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Style 90
