The difference between magnesium and aluminum anode bars.

Important to know. Suburban 232768 is an aluminum anode rod. Suburban 232767 is a magnesium anode rod. Aluminum bars are slower to react and should only be used if magnesium anode bars will not last a year.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Great product, just the part I needed

Great product, just the part I needed and bought from an RV dealer. The item was delivered on time as promised and the seller delivered as promised and in fact it was before the promised date if anyone needs items of this nature. I highly recommend this and with savings compared to what I have paid in the past.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Safety

My son introduced me to them and now I rely on them.

I had a 4 year old water heater in my RV and it blew. When replacing it, my son told me that the water I live in is damaging the heater. love lesson After 9 months he started replacing the anode rod and now we do it regularly. They save on a water heater and are cheap in the hand for what they do. I would recommend your water heater uses one of these you have on hand.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Trade in available

does his job. Best in Heaters & Ovens

For RV owners with aluminum water heaters, it is important to always have ample reserve on the anode and replace it when rust is approximately 75% size, otherwise the body will rust of the water heater corroded by hot water. This is of course the cheapest and easiest way to prevent this. Replacement depends on usage. When not camping, remove the anode and drain the tank, then it will last longer. Always have a supply ready.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Requires gentle persuasion to install

My old anode rod was completely worn out so I replaced it with this one. Although everything worked out fine, the reason for the three stars instead of five was that the threads on this rod were slightly different than the previous rod and different from the hot water tank. As a result, it took some gentle persuasion and perseverance to get this rod to work on the water heater in my caravan. Now that it's in, it works perfectly. No leakage, no problem.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Difficult to say
