I had to tie this on my little one's wrist. It would be better if it wasn't a tie but a different clasp. It works because it keeps him from sucking his thumb, but he does, but does his best to get it out.

My child is 4 years old, he tried to break her habit, she learned to untie the straps after 3 days. And we used a bobby pin to stop her from taking it off and she sucks the glove. It doesn't bother her.

At first I was very excited to try this on my baby but I don't think these gloves will do anything for her unshakable need to suck her thumb. The material of the strap began to loosen, and after a while she simply loosened it herself by placing a free finger between her wrist and the strap, thereby loosening the glove. For now, we're expecting her to either grow out of it or embarrass herself into old age for sucking her thumb in public.
