Better quality control needed in aviation GPS

Nice case, but the fan is immediately noisy. It scratches the hull. I had to fix it. Better quality control before shipping would be appreciated

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Something's wrong

I like that no screws are required for attachment.

I like that no screws are required for attachment. RP3 just snaps into place. Absolutely not brittle plastic. Very difficult. I think it's better with the antenna at the end and under the RP3 board, but there are plenty of holes to knock it out on the sides or at the end above the board. I attached mine to the battery with velcro and made a micro USB cable and switch with 90 degree connectors to make the whole thing a bit more compact.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Great case but needs a smaller USB fan header.

I like the clear case actually let's show the DIY aspect of this ADS-B. The case itself is quite solid and has good attachment points for the Raspberry Pi and antenna cables. The reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because it's suitable for the GPYes sensor, but you can't connect a USB fan with the GPYes attached. It's not really a problem, it's just that the USB ports are too close to the Pi. Proper connection requires a smaller USB port on the plug.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • I'll write back later

The Stratux Case is a beautifully designed case for the Raspberry Pi computer board, ideal for commonly used compact receivers and GPS devices. The holes for the antennas are also well placed. The presence of 2 fans ensures that Pi components and USB plug-ins receive adequate airflow. This box will be a great mobile case! The case is not suitable for full-fledged SDR radios, but in this case it will not be a clean and compact solution. The low price and the thoughtful design make it a very good

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Updates

I love the clear case, let me show you how DIY this ADS-B is. The case itself is quite solid and has good attachment points for the Raspberry Pi and antenna cables. Pros
  • Includes fan, case and mounting hardware. Multiple antenna holes provide more flexible antenna position and better portability. Raspberry Pi is not included.
Cons
  • Non-automatic

Stratux case is well designed for Raspberry Pi computer board and suitable ideal for frequently used compact receivers and GPS devices. The holes for the antennas are also well placed. The presence of 2 fans ensures that Pi components and USB plug-ins receive adequate airflow. This box will make a great mobile case!
