Payroll software is a great solution if you want to automate your payroll process.

This is a great solution if you want to automate your payroll process. I was able to add employees and manage them all from within the app. There is a lot of flexibility to configure how your payroll system works and you get a fair amount of help when configuring everything. My biggest complaint is the way the app handles the tax calculations. I had a situation where my state changed after my employee hired date so my new state tax rate came into effect and my employee now owes money to the

Pros
  • I was able to import employee records and setup a custom workflow to create paychecks automatically.
  • I love the interface, it is very easy to set up and use
Cons
  • You cannot edit payroll rules after you have created the payroll
  • Can not adjust payroll due dates
  • When you add a payroll rule, it doesn't give you a reason why you chose what you did
