I saw a hot melt regulator once and spent about $400 on these blankets over the last few years because they are not durable. . When I first received this comforter, I was quite comfortable on the low setting and hot on the medium setting. High was too hot so I never used that setting. In less than four months of use, the blanket is now barely as warm on high settings as it originally was on low. The material is also quite thin, so it doesn't work very well as a regular blanket without electric heating.
