I installed 66 of these lamps in 18 months. In my three most used rooms, these bulbs are used as the main lighting. Half of the bulbs are simply switched on/off, the other half on Lutron Maestro CL dimmer switches. The most commonly used bulbs are not on dimmer switches and I had 9 bulbs. either "die" or "flicker" within 18 months, for a failure rate of 13%. Just received the bulbs, they arrived well packaged and on time. They have bright white light with no glare. We have some old (25 year old) can lights that the previous owner 'upgraded' to rather disgusting retrofitted black pendant lights (wire cage style) with clear bulbs that didn't provide enough light. and hung so low in the kitchen that the doors of the upper cabinets bumped against them when they were opened.
