This product doesn't work!

I purchased this product for art camp students when another brand I used to use ran out of stock. This product doesn't work! I am an art educator by training and have tried many different techniques to make this article work. It doesn't work as advertised, doesn't work as advertised, doesn't work at all.

Works well: Decor paper

Cyanotype prints work well on this paper. Please note this is a paper only, not a kit. My advice: get some plexiglass sheets to hold the paper and objects together and some paperclips to hold everything together. Fifteen minutes in the sun, then rinse with clean water and you've got a gorgeous print! Be sure to rinse the exposed paper well and wait a bit for the finished print to appear.

Fun to play with best paper

Due to COV my kid is spending most of his time at home and I need to find something to keep him busy. This is a fun activity for kids to learn about cyanotype. It's easy to use and you don't need to mix any chemicals to make homemade photosensitive paper. I like the size of the paper (A4) compared to other brands and you can cut it into smaller pieces for more experimentation. Overall this is a good starter kit for a young child.

Great for kids Good for paper and paper crafts

If you need coated paper then that's fine. I took off a star because the paper is a bit flimsy to hold well and dry after getting wet. And I kept getting these weird darker spots where it should have been the brightest highlight. Maybe it's because I overexposed? However, these bags are very kid and beginner friendly since you don't have to mix the chemicals or coat the paper yourself. I tore off a few sheets (away from UV) so everyone had more tries which was great.

Very Poor Quality SunCreations Cyanotype Paper

I have tried several types of cyanotype paper over the past two years and have always been disappointed with SunCreations products. I've tried four types of their cyanotype paper and found that each type has the same problems: The cyanotype chemicals don't spread evenly to the paper surface. As a result, the paper is full of streaks - it looks like it has streaks - and they are very visible when the paper is exposed. Also, paper takes a long time to develop in the sun.
