Description of Sunex 248Xd 2 Inch Impact Socket

Forged from the finest chrome molybdenum alloy steel – the best choice for strength and durability. Radius corner design - to extend the life of fasteners. The design drives the side of the fastener instead of the corner. Provides increased strength, but also avoids rounding of rusted or damaged fasteners. 1/2-Inch drive, 1-1/2-Inch extra deep impact socket.

I hope you have enough space in your socket box for this!

This thing is HUGE! I figured I needed a deeper shell to fit the hitch ball. This thing was way deeper than I needed. I don't know about the quality as I've only put 2 bolts in at around 100lbFt and it hasn't flashed.

Head does the trick

I ordered this to tighten the 11/2" keel bolt nuts on my sailboat. There was some doubt when ordering as the title says 11/2" and the description says 1". but fortunately the socket matches the name and not the description. Please correct the description to help future buyers!

Pros
  • Custom Power Heads
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Size 1-1/2 is worth the money!

This thing is massive. I needed an extra deep bushing for the steering caliper on my 1996 Cherokee and this thing worked perfectly. The socket size is 1-1/2, even though the description says it is. The 1/2" drive worked great on impact and torqued the nut to 185 ft lbs with ease. Used a couple of times and very satisfied. A bit pricey but the cheapest option and I need it to complete a project before dirt weekend and with prime it was there in 2 days. Enjoyed the trip lol

Pros
  • Sockets and socket wrench sets
Cons
  • No power
