Nice tool, feels good and is a good weight, but the lack of an opening spring like every other pair of wire strippers in existence is a bargain. Switch. I bought these to replace my worn out green striped ones that I use every day at work. It will end up in my box at home and will probably only be used as needle-nosed pliers.
Very good pliers but not as strong as I was hoping. Maybe my expectations are too high and I'm trying to cut studs and wires that are too strong or thick, but that's my experience. At the moment I'm not sure I would buy them again but I've gone back to my old wire and bolt cutters. I am trying to use them as wire strippers but the jaws are spring loaded.
Wonderful Spirit pliers are good for installing ballast plug switches and the like. And the price is reasonable, and the tool is quite durable. product update. After more than a month of use, the handles keep falling off. I have to stick a liquid nail or something in there to actually hold the handles on the product itself works well but the handles need to stay on the electrical work.
We're all familiar with those cheap power pliers that are flimsy and "almost work". This set is not in this category. I have used them several times to repair or install outlets and fixtures. The quality is top notch, the wire cutters are very effective, the design of the pliers allows for wire stripping, connector squeezing, and the needle nose is much better than the blunt pliers nose. I love these pieces and am thinking of ordering a few more pairs this year to give to my son-in-law.
