A solid upgrade for a touring/city bike

Those are solid pedals! They had to be adjusted a bit out of the box to run smoothly, but they fit my 1973 Schwinn cranks perfectly. 1/2" pedals are not easy to find these days, especially metal ones. I look forward to spending many hours with them. They really help breathe new life into this old (now single speed) bike.

Pros
  • Hands free mode
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something

It is great! My son's original pedals broke.

They are great! My son broke the original pedals on his bike and we decided to try these. They are heavy and can take a beating. I also like that they don't have a domed plastic handle, but rather a rubber-like grip material. He likes to ride barefoot and socks (not very safe but his preference) so they're perfect for barefoot!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Fits

Couldn't be cheaper and way better than the more expensive pedals

Dollar for dollar these are the best pedals I've ever used on a commuter, cruiser or e-bike bike. This is my second pair; My first pair was on a mountain bike that I used to commute to work. However, I would not recommend them if you ride in wet conditions. These are lightweight pedals but they will last for years. I am currently using these pedals on my high end e-bike.

  • Nice packaging

Comfortable but not grippy

Like it but don't like it. They are not as tight as I would like them to be. I bought them to replace the platform pedals with metal rivets that gnawed into my flesh like a sadistic glutton craving flesh from my feet. To be honest the ideal pedal falls somewhere between this and metal plate platform pedals but I can't find it. large non-slip platform and crooked legs or the comfortable pedal and maybe your legs will fly off from time to time. Until I find that elusive dream hybrid pedal I'm…

Great pedals - great value - great features - non slip

Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) loves cycling. We ride road bikes, mountain bikes, antique bikes and coastal cruisers. There is nothing quite like cruising the beach on a gorgeous beach cruiser! These are great pedals at a great price - perfect for cruiser style bikes. The rubber grips really help keep your feet from slipping in most types of shoes - even in the rain. The bearings feel a bit rough at first, but these aren't hundred-dollar pedals with premium bearings. And after about 50 miles…

Nice pedals

Bought these because my regular pedals were starting to fall apart. I installed them on my motorized beach cruiser and they look great and feel pretty comfortable. Rubber surfaces provide additional comfort. These are 1/2 pedals, which is a fairly common pedal thread size. The larger size of the pedals makes them easier to pedal on a heavy motorized bike like mine with wide handlebars. The overall construction looks like it will last and handle my engine's vibrations well. It's metal versus…

Everything you could want in a $20 pedal set!

As a daily active urban Pacific Northwest cyclist (who loves to pound the gentle gravel/off-road mountain trails on weekends), I'm probably not your typical target buyer for these cruising pedals. They were originally designed as a budget placeholder until I could get my hands on more "proper" performance pedals, but (even when I upgraded the fork, wheels, and other components on my custom titanium hybrid) I found these simple flat platform pedals indispensable part of my idyllic ride! While…
