Brighter than the light bulb it replaced.

I bought this lamp to replace a 25 watt incandescent lamp in my reading room. The 280 lumen output is more than twice as bright as the 130 lumen bulb it replaced. If too much brightness is a problem, this could be a problem. I just moved my headboard mounted reading lamp down and out of the way and the extra brightness isn't a problem for me. The big advantage of the new LED lamp is that the metal housing of the reading lamp body no longer feels too hot! With a power of only 4 W instead of 25โ€ฆ

I ordered two, one good, one bad.

Ordered two of these. Built-in can be installed. One worked about 10 hours, the second is still working. So here's the thing. That's about $4.50 per bulb, the price I paid with Revain free shipping. 3 year guarantee. BUT {.if the product does not last within the guaranteed period (lamps are rated for an average use of up to 3 hours/7 days/week), the manufacturer (Sunlite) will send you a replacement product upon receipt of the returned product. , registration receipt and proof of purchaseโ€ฆ

Will NOT turn off in entertainment cabinet

Purchased to replace LEDs for my entertainment cabinet. Just too bright and WILL NOT go out with the other LED lights in the side cabinets when off. And even though the bulb is about the same length as the old bulb I'm trying to replace, it still sticks out of the hole a lot further than the old bulb, about 1/2 inch. The old bulb fits much deeper into the exit opening and is thus recessed as it should be. This is especially evident since he is such a smart guy. It barely dims at its lowestโ€ฆ
