The outer extension will not fit through the hole.

Not suitable for my purpose as my standard orange outdoor extension cord will not fit through the hole in the box (neither male nor female end) even with the rubber covers completely removed. Can't make the hole bigger because then the rubber cap won't fit, won't cut the end of the extension to get through.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Protection

Waterproof with some limitations.

Bought this product because the photo showed cut outs for standard hose barbs. It is not. The incoming device had to be drilled. Also, installing this device requires drilling holes in the base of the device, making it no longer waterproof. It has plenty of room inside and will withstand most weather conditions but is not water. stable thanks to the holes required for fixing.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Nothing here

The size does not match what is stated.

The product is decent enough, but if dimensions are important, please note that the outside dimensions of the box are really 7.6" x 5.75". May appear small but advertised dimensions are 7.9" x 6.1" inches my application almost didn't fit so the discrepancy was significant. Perhaps the manufacturer should state it in the metric system since someone doesn't have instruments to measure in English. Please correct details. No, wire tabs do not increase the interior space of the box.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

KO 3/4 NOT 1 INCH!

Okay, first off, the cutouts are 3/4" not 1". (Probably the metric equivalent, so don't buy 1" cable glands because they won't fit at all!) After inspecting the rubber covers on the knockout holes, a utility knife is all it takes to make the appropriate cut so the glands really aren't needed Secondly I was hoping for a more decent plastic as it seems a bit cheap Use this box as a junction box for outdoor IP zip/category 6 connectors of CCTV cameras I think it will work That is all I have for…

Terrific came back good for electrical boxes, wiring and fittings

At first glance I thought these boxes were incredibly cheap but I loved the space they offered for an outdoor wiring project I'm working on. When I first started using the first one, I was immediately struck by the limitations of the box. I could be wrong but whole ones don't fit with 1/2" or 3/4" fittings - they can be metric. But then the connections are not waterproof. But then I noticed that one box already had a tear. As I thought about the time it would take to complete this project, I…

This junction box has some issues

To paraphrase Linus, "It's actually not a bad little junction box." It all depends on what you intend to do with it. Pre-cut holes with plastic plugs are nice in a way. They say you just have to cut an "X" in the plastic connector and thread the wire through it. This works, but the box is no longer watertight unless you seal the cable where it comes out of the plastic connector. I was planning to buy cable glands instead of plastic plugs. Unfortunately, the holes are about 1" in diameter, which

Really nice supply block

I love this device. Nice rubber bushings that can easily be cut or shaped with a knife blade. Lots of space inside. Easy to drill mounting screws. This is perfect for tidying up and organizing my security camera cables safely. The lid seems to be tight. Note that it doesn't have a rubber O-ring, so this might not be the best option if you're installing the camera in a humid area or need a fully waterproof box. Mine is under the eaves so the waterproofing should be fine for my needs. Happy with…

Awful.returned - Electrical Boxes, Conduits & Fittings

At first glance I thought These boxes are incredibly cheap but I love the space they provide provided for an outdoor wiring project I'm working on.
