Best Crude Linseed Oil I've Ever Used

Linseed Oil [raw] [ASIN: B000BZYYJC SUNNYSIDE CORPORATION 873G1 1 gallon raw linseed oil]] for my new mahogany deck [pics attached]. I've been using linseed oil diluted with citrus thinner [3 to 1] for 4 decades. This is the best raw linseed oil I have ever used, great price, great workmanship and easy to clean up with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ESC0NUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. ! Check out the before and after photos, you will agree.

Suitable for wood conditioning

It seems to be linseed oil. Although the smell of petroleum distillate is a little smelly. Maybe it's part of the extraction/refining process. And Sunnyside's MSDS says it contains chemicals known to cause cancer, which I wouldn't expect from pure flaxseed oil. I think it might just be a template that they put on all their MSDS docs. But it worked well for conditioning my ax handles. Absorbs more quickly into hickory and does not harden as quickly as boiled linseed oil, allowing for much deeper

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Long waiting time

Excellent goods! to wood polishes, waxes and oils

This product did an excellent job restoring two old rocking chairs that came from my (and older) grandparents' cottage. The wood used to be so dry and dull, but now it looks beautiful! I was so happy I started looking for other wood for the oil and ended up oiling the dried teak bench in our shower as well as some wooden garden bells. Everything turned out very nice! A little goes a long way and has a strong odor while you work. But it dried quicker than I expected and the smell didn't linger…
