SUNROAD Universal Intercooler Coupler Piping Review

The intercooler is not very efficient. Barely able to handle a few pounds per square inch before heating up like crazy. Also, the pressure drop across this intercooler is insanely bad. The piping is decent though, as it's just piping, but many of these have had to be deburred before use. T-clamps were bad. Many of them break when little or no torque is applied when tightening.

I'll start by saying that I bought this complete kit and was expecting a cheap kit. That's exactly what I got. Silicone plugs in particular are too short, unusable and can be attached at both ends. I ordered this blacked out kit for some reason, it came and the intercooler was plain aluminum and the piping was black. Not a big deal but not what I ordered. Hmm. At this point I would pay a little more just to avoid all the extra parts, welding and cutting it took me to get this to work for my mk4 TDI. Here's what I noticed: 1. The TIG welds that hold the aluminum heatsink together are "normal" and about what I could do myself as a novice welder. It passed my blood pressure test.
