I really wanted a black garter belt that was thin and unobtrusive and they seem perfect. I have a 3.5″ thick driftwood sheath but unfortunately I overlooked the length of these hooks. They are designed more for a "crown shape" style robe. I just wish they had the long style too. We return and leave in search of a longer one.

I really don't like writing bad reviews, but broke on first use gone. I hung the stocking on the hook and it fell off the cloak because there was nothing to hold on to. That would be nice, I could use double-sided tape or something, but when I lifted the hook I found the little ball on the end had broken off. The ball cannot be unscrewed, so it cannot be repaired. It's only lightly soldered on, so if it breaks, you're done. And you gotta keep the stocking.

I really like these things. . They're cheap and they work. If they fall on my kid's head they won't kill him (he'll definitely rip the stocking off on Christmas morning). I'd say if you're having trouble, you're probably not placing them correctly on your coat. In terms of durability, they're not as good as a $100 stocking iron set, but they'll do the job. If you like DIY, you could probably do something fun with them to make them a more permanent addition to your jewelry. Just think.
