Works great but had to buy an adapter.

Works perfectly but I had to buy an adapter to mount it on a tripod. Just check the dimensions of the tripod before you buy it.

Pros
  • Ideal for HDR (high-dynamic range) panoramas
Cons
  • Crumpled

Solid product, weak detents for indexing

Looks good overall. However, the fixers for indexing are weak. By that I mean a minimal tactile sensation that tells you when you hit the set angle. My main rotor is a Nodal Ninja RD16. Very durable, with very positive feedback on the closures. When you're shooting a task, there's no mistaking when you hit the corner. The Sunway DDP-64M has small and flat detents, so scrolling over the detents is easy as the tactile feedback is weak. And yes, I screwed the angle selector screw in all the way. I

Pros
  • Lubricated bearings for smooth rotation.
Cons
  • unreliable

Excellent, solid construction. You can say it just by holding it in your hands. If you're shooting large panoramas or 360 VR, you need this for accuracy and precise pan degrees. Simply screw the "wired" rod into the slot for the desired pan planes and pan the camera to the nearest stop (you should hear a click at each stop on the base). Make sure the bottom plate marked degree is unlocked when rotating the base. Ideally you should be panning with a 50mm (50mm) lens as it has the least…

Pros
  • Can be used as a regular dish rack
Cons
  • Empty

In my opinion there are better panoramic heads

I needed a second panorama head and wanted to save money on the Manfrotto 300N that I already have. Unfortunately it was a bad choice, at least for me. Sunway's degree adjustment mechanism is similar to Manfrotto's, but when I tightened the adjustment pin (tighten fully, which I think should be, since the pin has a built-in stopper, and that's how Manfrotto works) I actually ended up with the drum's coating scratched, and in the process my 20 degree stop became so rough it was practically…

Pros
  • all-metal version. The control lever is also metal, not plastic or rubber
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
