Installation isn't too difficult and I think it's even easier on later model cars where the harness colors are more vibrant as you need to make a connection to the signal wires to use the turn signal function. TL; DR, your phone's flashlight is the best source of light. At first I really liked this lamp. The halo colors were amazing and they looked really good. But I ended up having to drive them through the snow and you literally couldn't see more than 20 feet in front of you in the white snow at night. In no way are they DOT compliant. I'm not sure if we received a defective pair but when we replaced similar headlights on our TJ the low beam washer hit the tops of the brake lights and trees. And yes, they installed correctly. We tried adjusting the angle with the screws, but didn't have enough adjustment to bring it below the level of the oncoming hood/windshield. Update 1-13-18 Headlight failed the MA test for moisture behind the headlight. This is the second set of bulbs I have installed so far. I want my money back so I can get better light bulbs. As mentioned in other reviews, one of the halos of the daytime running lights is blown. I made sure the wiring is still ok and nothing is loose. I even switched the work light to a non-working one. At the low end of the expensive big boy price spectrum, other than performance, I didn't see any real physical difference. I fitted them after an unsatisfactory experience with 3 row LED headlights and didn't want to go back to the H4. . Front indicators are one of them. I've never had anyone work there, but a few have.
