Great for rescuing old equipment from a junkyard

Great product saved a 12 year old GE side by side fridge as it was running all the time, damaged suction line with compressor, checked and found fridge pressure that he was operating at zero psi. I added 2 ounces of r134a and now the fridge runs about three psi and cools like a champ, this was for my garage fridge. I was very happy to give the fridge new life instead of throwing it away, great knockout valves I also used it for a portable dehumidifier which was a 410a system and salvaged it…

Saved on buying 2 new dehumidifiers for $180! And all for less than $10!

Pretty simple installation process that went well. Just read and follow the instructions and it's easy to do. Worked the first time on a block but had to refill 3 more times before it worked. It's not the valves, apparently the sealant in the R134 took 3 tries to get the job done? I'm glad the first worked flawlessly as it motivated me to keep trying the second device. Next time I'll probably buy a refrigerant with more sealant. They will expire over time. Both units operated throughout the…

It works, that's all there is to say.

Found a nice straight piece of copper tubing and carefully tightened it up, then screwed in the valve train and BAM! It was nice to go. I checked for leaks, connected the Schrader valve to the A/C on the low pressure side, opened the valve screw one turn, and then read the pressure on the A/C gauge. I filled the system with freon, checked pressure and temperature again, blocked the valve and BAM (again). My hybrid water heater worked much better. I closed everything and checked again for leaks.

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

  • Out of fashion

Good valve, be sure to read the direction twice.

I recently installed this valve on my 18 year old fridge and it worked great. I was initially skeptical because I didn't see a Schrader valve installed in it, but after reading the instructions a couple of times I learned that the knockout valve also acts as a check valve when you're done servicing the units. Be sure to clean the valve. the area of the pipe where you plan to install this valve, but do not use sandpaper as it will scratch the pipe and most likely cause a leak. Personally, I used

How to add more freon to the fridge

A very affordable, high quality faucet that lets you add freon to the fridge, which is low. This clip on the valve attaches to three different sized copper pipes with the two included inserts. The instructions it contains explain the process. Very easy, even includes an Allen key. My Viking Side by Side Freezer/Fridge has a top mounted compressor. There are no working valves, so this is needed to measure the pressure and add freon. They mount on the suction side or on the low-pressure side on a
