Bad cables, gauge is ok

Everything seems ok but the cables were defective from day one. I bought new ones and they are back in business. This will work for my intermittent use. But troubleshooting old leads and buying new leads was a hassle.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Paid for itself in the first 10 minutes when I got it!

Not bad at $20! It worked great for checking 220 performance and continuity of some parts of the dryer! The gauge and parts were cheaper than paying a service technician just to show up, much less repair cost for something I could have done myself! Paid for itself in the first 10 minutes when I got it!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Exchange available

Don't plan on using this more than 3 times

Cheap meter with cheap test leads that fall apart after limited use. I might as well just get a "free" meter from Harbor Freight instead of paying for a garbage meter. It's a shame because I wanted this meter to like its easy to read display and rubber case, but I can't fix things around the house if the test leads are broken.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

Works great in harsh environments

Works great! I needed one of these when I was renovating a dryer (need to check fuse continuity and temp coming out of back of dryer to make sure it's switching heat as it should). I didn't know what I was doing but Google saves the day again and the site I was on suggested this exact model. The dryers were fixed and money well spent (that and a $12 backup). I highly recommend this multimeter!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Requires power outlet

Blown up (my fault) but good multimeter

So I think it's a good DMM. I accidentally left the test leads connected to the meter. I hooked it up to 12 volts at 500 amps and the wire and fuse blew. In short, after you've tested the amps, plug the test leads into the correct jacks so you don't waste $10. I used a lot of temperature measurement, but when I screwed up I messed something up with the chip. It is read everywhere. So don't blow up yours.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

great budget meter,

I've tried sooo many meters in this price range, most use the 830 design which looks very similar. This Supco DM10T meter instantly fixes the continuity tester and greatly improves reliability when testing things like ribbon cables or shorts on pin headers. The design is what you would expect from a budget meter, but it has a replaceable fuse. The rugged case adds weight and includes probe holders but no stand. A great meter for the price.

Pros
  • decent performance
Cons
  • problems

Recommended for occasional light domestic use only.

The price reflects all the functionality of this flow meter. However, it is not suitable for day-to-day work in the field. Test leads are cheap and don't last long even in a homeowner's living environment. My usual test lead detached from the probe tip right at the beginning of ball possession. I contacted SUPCO to purchase replacement cables and was told they do not offer them. I have a Fluke 115 DMM and have had no problem getting OEM replacement leads from them. That's why I'm a Fluke…

As far as a good digital multimeter

So far this is a good DMM. Used it to fix washer and dryer and also to check some outlets. As far as I remember my father always used the same one and it was quite faithful to him. I give it 4 stars because sometimes it won't read and I have to touch and retouch the terminals to get a reading sometimes. Although this is rare. It's good for the price and serves its purpose. Just remember that sometimes they can be sub-par like anything else. Get it I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Not yet…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...

No better than a free counter.

I do not recommend this multimeter. I've had luck with other Supco tools and need a gauge that was an upgrade from another gauge that was "free with coupon" from the tool company. This calculator is disappointing. Compared to the "free" meter, this one has a protective case, backlight, and temperature sensor. It also has a setting that beeps when there is continuity, which is the main reason for wanting an upgrade so I don't have to look at the test location and the gauge display at the same…
