Need a short sweater?

It will be functional but I would prefer a better pl-259 fitting. I bought this along with my Bird watt meter to power my rigs power line.

Solid construction and does the job

Nothing wrong with that, it's a simple double connector. I used it to connect an SWR meter to my CB and it worked great. It's well made and looks clean.

  • So far so good

Works as it should. in digital coaxial cables

Used with an SWR meter. Works as it should. I would only use this cable in a temporary configuration like this. I'm not sure if this device will survive multiple plug/unplug cycles.

It works, but maybe spend more.

If you just need a temporary jumper for the SWR meter to set, that might be ok. The connectors seem a bit too flimsy to trust in installations or anywhere they might be loaded, but it works.

  • handy thing
Cons

Faulty, center pin shorted to screen!

This product is 100% defective due to a short from the center pin to the shield. Luckily my HF radio has a basic SWR meter, otherwise I would have destroyed it. I double checked it by setting the continuity of two multimeters and confirmed that this is nonsense. Avoid at all costs.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Minor Loss? HF leak!

I bought this to replace an older, slightly longer coaxial bridge between my RF transceiver and antenna tuner. I used it straight away on the 80-100 watt HF bands. The cable carried so much radio frequency that it caused local devices (computers, etc.) to behave erratically or simply shut down. Reinstalled the original coax jumper and everything worked fine. My recommendation: Do not use or buy to connect HF radios. They might work well for low-power devices (less than 5W), but there's…
