These LED lights are excellent. They come with all the necessary hardware to plug them into an outlet. The LEDs are attached to a paper strip with a self-adhesive backing. These LEDs are not encased in silicone. They are intended for indoor use only. I attached them to the back of the TV. The 16 foot strip was long enough to attach to the perimeter of the back of my 50 inch TV. The excess length can simply be cut off with scissors at the point marked on the LED strip. These LEDs are adjustable.

Very disappointed with these lights, firstly the spacing between each light unit is large and compared to other LED strips I've bought in the past they look pretty tacky. The advantage of these lamps is that they come with a remote control and an adapter for connecting light sources. You don't have many features on the remote, but then again, you pay for what you get. Very simple ready to use kit with very bright backlight. Two things to note here: 1) When I first hooked it up for testing, I got scared because it only has 3 colored LEDs (blue, green, red) and I wanted more multicolored ones.
