Screen anomalies with foil, had to be removed

I wanted to like these protectors but when applied they added a grainy multicolored "foil" to the display. White was displayed with colored spots around the edges of the black characters, the phone looked like it was in SD. Although it may have been an issue with my application, after the third set the install was ok but still not worth it. Might be useful as a temporary fix if you need to protect the screen now but look for something else .

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

Low Quality is Good for Tablet Accessories

These are really low quality screen protectors. Extremely fragile feeling and difficult to install compared to others. The matte profile looks and feels like a small duality. It doesn't have a nice matte texture, instead it feels slippery and interferes with swiping and gesturing on the Duo's surface. The good thing is that you get three protectors for each side and the price is cheap but the quality in this case is also cheap. Look elsewhere, if you're considering these it's probably worth a…

Too big - edges don't stick together

As you can see in the picture all four edges are NOT adhering to the glass, even though I applied the screen protector with camera and flash cutouts almost perfectly. Why? The glass has a very thin curve on all four edges, and the screen protector is stiff enough that it cannot stick to the curve. Aside from being an absolute magnet for dust and lint, your finger will stick to the edges and lift the screen protector when you use gestures. I would return them but for a few euros it's hardly…

If you're buying a Surface Duo, get this screen protector.

I wouldn't normally consider a screen protector, especially one that isn't even glass, but here I am. The Supershieldz protector fits me well, my finger doesn't feel "stuck" when navigating the screen. It took me a few minutes to install as I actually read those instructions to make sure I avoid air bubbles. I wiped the screen with alcohol wipes and then wiped with a microfiber cloth. The protectors fit very well, very even on the edges. As my title suggests, if you buy a duo and get these…

Makes the screen smoother and doesn't leave fingerprints

Before you buy this, you should know that these anti-glare screen protectors produce a grainy image. This is not a problem for me as I use Duo for reading. I think it's great that you no longer have to lug around a microfiber cloth and that the glass pane is also protected. However, installation is a huge pain. Tiny dust particles inevitably stick to the running surface during assembly. I wasted 2 of the 6 protectors that came with it when I encountered this problem. Make sure the installation…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

This is the best configuration for the surface duo

It has all the holes for different ways to flip screens. The screen quality is normal but there is some blurring. The adhesive was strong enough to sag when the screens were unfolded. I wish there were dust collectors. I used up the entire package to get rid of the lint that accumulates on it during installation. (I had very low humidity, but still). I have found that you get the best results if you remove all protective film prior to application. I applied it perfectly no air bubbles no lint…

Good for glare control, but there's a compromise

Because I like to use darkfield for most applications, my new Surface Duo has a problem with reflections. A matte screen protector solves this problem, but it comes at a price: images appear "pixelated" and the image sharpness decreases. But the text looks clear enough. Also, the matte plastic screen protector improves the writing surface with the pen, which I do quite often (with the gboard keyboard set for the pen). Without a protective film, the pen slips too much on the glass. Also: With a…

Pros
  • I'll keep my fingers crossed

  • A dubious purchase for seniors

Fits well but adds a lot of sand

I really liked that there were 3 protectors in the box, I used all 3 on the left side and the right side the same get the first try. The trick to installing it is to line it up before you peel off the bottom film and tape one edge so it stays level while you lift it up and peel off the film. Have an extra piece of tape handy to remove the protective glass after installation, and an extra piece of tape to remove dust that got between the glass and the protective coating. Just. The cut of these…
