I was prepared for this screen protector to come off if I dropped my phone; other reviews have shown that this is not uncommon. I applied it very carefully, it worked fine for about 2 days and then when I was about to lift my phone face down off the table the screen protector accidentally fell off. It is impossible to protect your phone if it is not tethered to your phone. That little bit of glue around the edge just isn't enough.

I had screen protectors on all my phones and if they cracked I would replace them but my phone's screen has never cracked but this is the first time I've bought them . It doesn't hold onto the phone screen very well and when I dropped my phone from my living room chair onto the floor, lying on the carpet not only did the screen protector crack immediately but my phone's screen also broke, I would not recommend this type or brand of protective film.

Finding the right tempered glass screen protector for many of today's curved screens can often feel like the bane of life. or at least mine. I replaced a crappy screen protector with this one. Here are the differences. It's a lot thinner. The old one struck me as odd. It repels fingerprints, the old one was a fingerprint magnet. This one is curved. He hugs the phone and you don't even realize he's there. This is very important with the Pixel 2 XL. The old one was sticking out around the edges, it was awful. I have used both full adhesive screen protectors and the same ones that are only on the edge. For me I would prefer full black border glue to cover the edges. Because the Pixel 2 XL's screen curves around the edges, dust and lint always cling to the edges, which are hidden by the black border.
