This was for my niece. She wanted to make candles so I gave her these for her birthday. It would be even better if you choose what type of wax you want to use. She did a lot of research before I brought this here and figured out what type would suit her best. Unfortunately I couldn't get the kind of wax she wanted to work with but I told her to just try this wax and maybe just buy the one she wants later.

This is a sample candle making kit. Definitely for beginners, but the instructions on how to make candles if you haven't already are very vague. the melting point of the wax, when to add fragrance or coloring. I had to search the internet for the right way to make candles. Work with a lot more soy wax and it's very difficult to scale down using this very small pot. But overall this is a great little starter kit for kids and aspiring adults.

This set looked amazing at first sight. Nice tins and all nicely packed in a plastic container. Once you start making candles, you will see many downsides. First the oils leaked out of the packaging so it was an instant migraine when all the oils mixed. Second, the oils smell very commercial, and almost all smell the same. My favorite scents, eucalyptus and mint, smell like Listerine or mild ammonia. Disgusting! Worst of all, the soy wax itself has an unpleasant odor. I figured once the butter…
