Works great for me for computers and accessories

I needed a newer PS when upgrading my 10 year old HP Envy. PS well done and works great for me so far. I would have preferred a modular unit so I didn't have to store unused power cords. But my new case has enough room to keep unused cables out of the way and out of sight.

  • Good thing
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Howling noise after 4 months

Bought last September (2020) and now makes a pretty loud whine which can be annoying at times. I haven't overclocked my GPU or put much effort into it; Anyway, my current graphics card (R9 280x) shouldn't even have damaged such a large PSU if it had. I contacted GAMEMAX about this and got nothing. It doesn't help that their website is a little sketchy, especially when they give you a warranty card saying you can get an RGB mouse pad for free, but when you click the link you get an error message

Really good power supply. Feel free to buy!

You may not know this, but Gamemax is a good brand of power supply. The first thing that struck me was that they packaged it very well. In fact, they packaged it better (in my opinion) than many of the better known brands like EVGA, Corsair, Thermaltake. Gamemax has covered the PSU with an inflated plastic sheet for protection during shipping, which is very thoughtful. It also came with zippers. I haven't seen any other PSU brand that does this, so Gamemax is doing great. As many others who…

Does the job at a great price.

I have been impressed with this product since I received it. Very nicely packaged. I've seen high-end power supplies that don't even come that well packaged. But nice packaging doesn't always mean a good product, but in this case it does. I installed this on my latest build for my daughter and it worked flawlessly. The voltages are stable and correspond to the expected parameters. The device has been working for me for about 2 months and there was not a single failure. I have been very happy…

Great price and quick installation.

Features a power save button on the back that turns the fan off until needed, reducing fan noise. Non-modular, for those who want a tidy case. this may not be for you. Good choice for my case. Seems to be ok so far. Excellent packaging all around the PSU in the box. Great price for a 600W device.

Good packaging is best understood in Internal power supplies

In this test we only focus on the packaging of the power supply. OK, pay attention. I ordered this because I suspected my power supply was to blame when my computer wouldn't boot multiple times. I figured I might keep it as a spare even if I don't need it right now. Strangely, after ordering, my computer booted up just fine so I haven't had to use it yet. But when I opened the box of this Gamemax power supply, I found it was securely packaged in a thick, shock-absorbing sleeve. Nothing I've…

Great replacement for computer components

I bought this to replace a 750w PSU that may or may not have failed. It was easy to install and after I dusted off my computer it worked again. much quieter than before. The current draw from the power supply was so low that my master/slave UPS thought the computer was off and turned off the slave outlets. The system speaks of load, while other brands mention temperature. I'm sure it doesn't matter much.

Nice, quiet and good hardware for easy installation

I just recently started building a PC as a hobby and bought it to fit in a new case I just got. I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to install and how quiet it is. 600 watts is pretty good value for money in my opinion. I may upgrade to 800 watts in the future, but for now this works pretty well for a novice computer builder. I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Good product! Cables need a bit more length

Easy to install, has replaced my outdated 500w power supply that came with my PC about 4 years ago. Easy integration of new components. The only problem was the length of the cable. I had to rearrange the cables in my case because the cable length wasn't as long as it should be, but overall a great purchase. Cables are easy to wrap around components when needed, so dangling around isn't really a problem for cables. although I understand the outrage
