In this test we only focus on the packaging of the power supply. OK, pay attention. I ordered this because I suspected my power supply was to blame when my computer wouldn't boot multiple times. I figured I might keep it as a spare even if I don't need it right now. Strangely, after ordering, my computer booted up just fine so I haven't had to use it yet. But when I opened the box of this Gamemax power supply, I found it was securely packaged in a thick, shock-absorbing sleeve. Nothing I've seen in power supplies bought from local stores. Someone must have taken the complaints about damaged PSU cases seriously. Inside the box was a large label urging the user to test the PSU with a tester before installing it. It was certainly a good suggestion and in the box I found the included tester with a jumper wire across the appropriate pins in the motherboard socket. Another very practical gesture. I hope this power supply works as well as the package.
