Constant reboots in surveillance kits

I gave it one star because it has good picture quality, but the NVR keeps rebooting and losing video stream during the day. Normally the intervals are 30 seconds, but recently they are 1 minute every restart. I bought the system on 05/12/18 and installed it on 05/20/18. It's easy to install except laying the Cat5 cable. Programming is rubbish. Oh, and there's no cloud service yet. For the fact that it doesn't work properly, I think the price is too high.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Regret purchase, AVOID

UPDATE: My camera broke after 3 months in the garage. YOU DO NOT WARRANT ANY PRODUCT UNLESS YOU REGISTER IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE. Do not buy this product. Terrible customer service. Isn't even 3 months!? Cannot zoom during playback. You can zoom (enlarge part of the screen) during live view, but not during playback. You need other software to do this. They claim they are 4k cameras. During playback the quality is not 4k (after exporting the file). It's more like 1080. You can only read…

Surveillance gear degrades over time

I bought this system because it said it supports Super HD 1440p video and images. Pixel formation and color distortion of these cameras after only 4 months is unacceptable. All Reolink cameras are hidden and protected under the eaves of our house, but their image quality keeps deteriorating. I bought CAT7 cables for Reolink cameras thinking the problem was the CAT5 that came with the system, but it didn't improve the image quality. (We have shades of pink and purple) I have an FDT 1080P…

  • Very impressive

NVR has stopped working

I ordered this device because I didn't want to be dependent on WiFi. This device is relatively easy to install if you can run the cables through the walls. I did all this work and the system worked fine for a couple of weeks. The problem I've had since day one: I couldn't access NVR/video recordings from my work. I assume this is due to a firewall issue and I never complain about it. However, if there are warnings and I don't get them at work, what's the use of a security system? After 3-4…

Brings me rest all day.

It took me a while to set it up to my liking but once it's set up I really like being able to remotely connect to the cameras throughout the day to view packages, pets and to check possessions. As someone who worries about this all the time, he literally helped me sleep better at night knowing I could check my surroundings at any time of the day. With six cameras recording in motion, I get about four weeks of footage. Not bad for all the snowdrift records they make. The system is very easy to…

Pros
