After trying this handy battery tester, I was impressed with how simple and intuitive it was to use... The clear display and color-coded readings made it a breeze to quickly understand the status of my car battery. The only downside is that it can sometimes be tricky to get an accurate reading on smaller batteries or ones that are hard to reach. Overall, a great addition to any DIY mechanic's toolbox..

These were readily available at my local Wal-Mart/K-Mart in the past but are now rare. Easily sucks up battery electrolyte and is easy to read, but at least the part I got was constantly dripping out of the pickup tube. Not a deal breaker, although be sure to read quickly and drain the acid back into the battery as soon as possible so it doesn't fall off and attack things like clothing, car paint, etc.
