My shwakers seem to be turning out pretty nice

My shwakers are turning out pretty nice. Small enough to carry around in my backpack, but was easier for me to sit at my desk and sharpen.

Pros
  • Made from solid 6061 aircraft grade aluminum with aluminum rivets
Cons
  • Something else

Doesn't meet my needs

Bought to use as a wide head sharpener. Works well but fails to sharpen blades to the point as the sharpener "lifts off" the blade when the body of the sharpener makes contact with the bit body. At least that was the case when I tried to use it on the Montec G5. Stone works better for me.

Pros
  • Requires no lubrication or cleaning
Cons
  • Large and bulky

It's ok - does the job - but a little "expensive" compared to other sharpening tools. Also, it's almost impossible to sharpen with this tool from the FRONT where the blades enter the tip, and you can't push the blades too deep into the tool to sharpen them. You can only sharpen about 3/4 the full length of the blade and that's not what I was looking for to be honest. And as I said, this is definitely NOT a cheap tool!

Pros
  • Made from solid 6061 aircraft grade aluminum with only aluminum rivets
Cons
  • Not sure
