Just bought 2 for an upcoming trip where we could only have carry on. They were perfect for our under seat luggage and fit all the extra stuff that my husband and I (mostly me) couldn't fit in our small overhead luggage. He had a 17 inch laptop that fit nicely in the space allotted in his bag. I really like that this backpack is a bit smaller than other similar looking backpacks. It's just perfect for everyday use without looking so bulky. It has a lot of compartments and pockets - in the front compartment there are many small pockets, on average only one compartment, and basically there is a large pocket for a laptop, but it is not padded. Since I always have a protective cover with my laptop, the unlined design doesn't bother me, but I like that it saves weight and bulk of the bag.

This is a great "little" package. I have a large Swiss 1900 TSA backpack which is good for airports and long trips but too big for everyday use. This pack is ideal for everyday use. I can put it in my bike saddlebag and it has a spare set of clothes and a laptop, plus lunch, sunglasses, phones and a wallet with spare space; everything i need during the day. The wide bungee mesh front is ideal for unexpected items.

This backpack can take a huge load! It is very comfortable with large compartments, smooth zips, roomy side pockets - just everything you need for a work/school backpack or a not too big travel backpack. However, the seam on the inside of mine has started to tear and I can now put my hand through the gap between the main compartment and the smaller one. If this rip didn't exist I would definitely rate it a 5!
