Didn't work for me

I received this item which didn't work at all although the light on the switch seemed to work so I returned it and they sent me a second unit. The second device did not have a Displayport cable to connect the device to the monitor, even though the first device did. Unfortunately the second device didn't work well as the screen went black every 30 seconds or so and came back after 10-30 seconds: This happened with different displayport cables and two different monitors. Works well most of the time, with occasional image noise and fades

I have two computers connected to the same monitor: - MacBook Pro 15 inch 2018 via USB-C to DisplayPort cable - Windows desktop with GeForce GTX 1060 – LG 27GN950 (3840 x 2160, 144 Hz) Both computers use 3840 x 2160 (2160p/4K UHD 1 – Ultra High Definition) at 120 Hz. Works well with some glitches

This item was purchased so I don't have to manually unplug the cables to switch between my desktop and laptop. The item works mostly as advertised. However, when I use the switch with my MacBook Pro, the screen can flicker when the monitor goes black for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. Previously, this did not happen when the laptop was directly connected to the monitor. Please note this is not happening on my desktop. This article gets the job done 4/5 with a few minor issues
