2013 Kia Forte - Radio Wiring Harness

This was a homemade setup with a JVC CarPlay/Android Auto head unit. It retained all SWC except for the voice control button. Holding the call button activates Siri for commands.

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • Security

Works as advertised

Used on a 2012 Kia Forte Koup. Followed instructions and worked great. All steering wheel controls work, including the phone (except for the voice command as there is no voice command on the head unit).

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it everything is fine

All plug and play: radio wiring harnesses

Installed in 2010 Kia Forte EX. I have to say this was the easiest install I've ever done. Programming was not necessary, the telephone buttons on the steering wheel are no longer available after installation. All other buttons work perfectly. The built-in radio was a Pioneer DEH-S4000BT.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • functionality

Worked as it should

Plugged it in and everything works as expected. The satellite radio antenna connector was wrong. Don't worry, I don't use XM. I want the camera I installed to have a parking brake and wires to connect reverse. No big deal, just a wish list.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Protection

It's so easy to keep the controls on the steering wheel

Wow, I love that. In my 2010 Kia Soul I kept the steering wheel controls. I use Pioneer radio. It's also a wiring harness, so just connect your radio to it and you're done! What works Volume up and down Change track or station Change source ATT or mute End call button What doesn't work Answer call button doesn't work I also don't think the voice control button works

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Secret
