Recommended. good for tires and rims

This monitor meets my expectations. The attention of the buyer from the store is responsible and conscientious. All is well.

Pros
  • Super price
Cons
  • Macken

Works well at best - Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

I have not installed it permanently as I do not need a handlebar mount. Later I'll be able to velcro it to the bike's dashboard, but for now it lives in my saddlebag and I check from time to time. Works perfectly. The menu is a bit difficult to navigate at first, but easy once you do it once or twice. The update is very slow. Don't use it anymore

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Easy to read screen.

It was a bit of fiddling with the sensors and display programming. The instruction manual contains few details. But after a while I got it right. I was a bit disappointed with the bracket that came with it. I ride a Goldwing and it doesn't have round handlebars so the mount was useless for me. I had to use double sided tape.

Good product, works great

So far so good. Used them every day and used them for the last 1500 miles. It seems fairly accurate, maybe off and on, but no more than 2lbs. (who knows, maybe my sensor is off). I like the fact that they seem to be getting air in the tires better since I don't put as much air in as I used to. I can also attest that it is waterproof as I got caught in some heavy downpours during the trip.

  • Satisfied so far

good but not so good for Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

I think it's TPMS. Bought to replace a burned out one. It had some good reviews so I bought it. The manual is good, it sucks. I asked the seller a few questions and all I got was a "read the manual" response. I finally got lucky and set my tire pressure to PSI (don't know how I did that, just pushed buttons). I cannot change the temperature from C to F. I've tried adjusting the high low pressure but it's fine. The block itself will do what I want. Accuracy is questionable - tire pressureโ€ฆ

Inconsistent monitor falling off bike

The device looked good on paper, but I found it difficult to turn it on or off as the device didn't respond to inputs or responded randomly. The user interface is so-so. The biggest problem was that the device vibrated off the mount when cycling on the freeway, even though I checked everything for tightness before driving. Luckily, it kind of fell into my seat, which is why I still have it, although I don't plan on using it in the future and wish I could just spend $50 on gas instead. When Iโ€ฆ

Works well. for retrofit systems

Works quite well. I bought this before a big trip, my wife and I took it to Blueridge Blvd. When traveling as a couple, it's important to keep an eye on tire pressure. So I bought this as a monitor. Holds a charge well. The automatic shutdown works after about 5 minutes of inactivity. Turns back on after motion is detected. Worked very well for the trip. Difficult to read in direct sunlight. Fairly sensitive to weather changes. Fog, heat, humidity, etc. So it's best to cover it up if leftโ€ฆ

Easy to install, easy to read, instructions hard to follow

Well I'd say this is a nice little color display that's nice to look at while driving. Print is bold. I only gave it three stars in *Warm* because I have no idea what HEAT is in that rating system. As for the instructions that came with the device, I think it could certainly have been written better. But I think that's the norm in today's technological environment where cheapness reigns supreme. The block appears to be working as intended. But maybe it's just me, but I'm under the impressionโ€ฆ

Works great for what I need. Bought 4 more for all my bikes

My biggest concern is that this will be another thing to fiddle with and charge for. I'm happy to report that after a single charge and regular use, it's been 6 weeks and it still shows a full charge. This is not a scientific instrument. If you need +/- 1psi accuracy then this tool is not for you. But I just wanted to know if my tire was flat from a puncture and they're pretty good for that. My biggest complaint is that the device doesn't have a "heartbeat" sensor to show how old the readingโ€ฆ
