I needed lightbulbs. But I'm not impressed.

One of my headlights blew out and I shopped on Amazon hoping to take the opportunity to upgrade. The package arrived in good condition and on time. Installation was easy and the bulbs work perfectly. But they are no better than the standard original equipment. So three stars would be "average”, right? Based on the description I expected more.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Just Right: Headlight Bulbs

They're much brighter than my Jeep's stock headlights, they have a longer and wider field of view, but they're not too wide. Corner headlights that dazzle oncoming drivers. Do the people you drive with a favor and instead of blinding other motorists with these LEDs that will cost you a lot more money, get these very useful light bulbs.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Unreliable

Bought these and they were made in the USA and they work great!

Install these bulbs in a 1997 F250 Power Stroke Diesel. Sylvania bulbs were already in when I changed them. They were manufactured in October 1997 and the truck was built in December 1997, so many years and 187,000 miles later they were still in service. These look a little lighter. I hope they last as long as the originals. And yes, they were marked Made in the USA.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Upgrade Available

Minor update (XtraVision)

I installed it on my 1995 Ford Explorer and didn't notice much of a difference. I am considering returning them and getting a Silver or Silver Ultra as they are not that much more expensive. I took photos before and after installation so you can see for yourself. Yes I see a bit more on the road but like I said it's not a huge difference, especially compared to some of the other reviews here.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Came already opened, possibly used.

The pears arrived in an already opened package. I installed them with no problems. They seem to be working fine (I installed them around 2pm so it was difficult to understand anything before dark). But the package was obviously opened. It wasn't plastic that was ripped from the card, but plastic that was cut and exposed. I'm not sure if it was a comeback or something, but I'm worried they'll get in trouble. I paid for a new one and I don't think I got that.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Almost exactly OEM. 2002 Dakota

I replaced both lightbulbs in my 2002 Dakota, but the other lightbulb is still out. Now I know the problem is electrical. However, I have a noticeable improvement over the previous stock bulbs that the previous owner installed. This is pretty much an OEM product, they're not exactly Sylvania 9007 but still. If I had both bulbs I'm sure they would be very bright. One spotlight is enough to give off enough light to make it appear like both are switched on. The light source is slightly off-center,

Great value for night lighting improvement

It was in between (+30 high efficiency), Philips Vision Plus (+50 ultra high efficiency), Philips Xtreme Power (+80 mega high efficiency). Given the shorter lifespan of the high-efficiency bulbs, I chose these because I think they're the best value at $10 a pair. I can't justify paying $40 a pair for a Philips Xtreme Power when I change the lightbulbs every year. Anyway, I might try the Philips Vision Plus for $17 a pair next time. Now that this isn't the case, I see a definite improvement in…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

The best halogen lamps.

Over the years I have experimented with every aftermarket replacement halogen headlight bulb. From Silverstars to the latest imported halogen lamps from Asia, these Sylvania XtraVision lamps offer the best light output of any halogen lamp on the market. If you're looking for better nighttime lighting without having to upgrade to a true LED or HID conversion, get these XtraVision bulbs. I use them in all my cars with halogen headlights. They last a long time and cast a brilliant white light…

Better than the standard replacement.

I did a little research before purchasing. First I was looking for a brighter street light, then I read a lot of reviews and finally the most important thing is the durability or lifespan of the lamp. Starting capacitor or wiring change. Brighter than stock and with better road coverage than stock, they are rated at 65 watts. the same as stock so I'm not worried about overloading my wiring and they are rated for 375 hours. The lifespan is shorter than the standard but much better than the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
